The Department has received numerous issues concerning Post members.
Post officers are responsible for helping its’ members. Depending on the magnitude of the issue, the respective District Officers may be called on to assist that Post. Please do not contact the Department or the National organization to resolve personal or Post issues. The National Organization reminds me they are unable to get involved in any issues at the Post level as per their National Constitution and By-Laws. Please know, they do not even have general oversight. While this Department does have general oversight, we do not have day-to-day operational responsibility over Posts. Keep the Department informed of issues through the levels; Post Commander, District Commander, and Dept. Vice Commander who will in turn inform the Department Adjutant/Commander. So please be mindful, try to resolve whatever the issue is at the Post/District level. Thank you.
